How to export notes from LogPad

Export keeps your notes portable. LogPad supports export workflows for users who want readable files, Markdown-friendly archives, PDFs, or backup-oriented bundles.

When export is useful

  • Saving a copy of important notes outside the app.
  • Moving writing fragments into another editor or knowledge system.
  • Sharing meeting notes or project notes as PDF.
  • Creating a backup or archive of a group of notes.

Choose the right format

Use plain text when you want the simplest portable copy. Use Markdown when headings, lists, links, and lightweight formatting matter. Use PDF when the output should be easy to share or read as a fixed document.

Export with attachments

If notes include files or attachment references, check the export options carefully. Bundle-style exports are useful when you need notes and related files to travel together.

Build an export habit

Export does not need to be constant. Many users export weekly, monthly, or at project milestones. The goal is to keep ownership and portability without interrupting everyday capture.
