How to use Note Pages in PencilTime
Note Pages give you freeform writing space outside the calendar. Use them when a day, week, or month page is not enough for the detail behind a plan.
Best uses for Note Pages
- Meeting notes that need more room than a daily planner page.
- Project pages with goals, milestones, links, and follow-up notes.
- Class notes, lecture summaries, and study collections.
- Reference lists, trip plans, meal plans, and recurring checklists.
Create a useful note page
- Open the Notes browser from the toolbar.
- Tap the add button and give the page a clear title.
- Choose the paper style that fits the work: blank, lined, grid, or dotted.
- Add tags in the title when they help you find the note later.
- Use Link Stickers or bookmarks when the page should be easy to revisit.
Example: project dashboard
Create a Note Page named after the project. Add high-level goals at the top, then use sections for milestones, decisions, open questions, and links to important planner days. Place Link Stickers on daily or weekly pages when those pages need to jump back to the project dashboard.
Keep notes findable
Use short, consistent tags such as #work, #school, or a project name. Premium users can use Smart Folders to collect related Note Pages automatically.
