How Reminder Stickers work in PencilTime

Reminder Stickers let you keep a reminder visible on the planner page where it matters. They are useful when a notification should stay connected to a handwritten plan.

When to use a Reminder Sticker

  • A deadline written on a Day, Week, or Month page.
  • A project milestone that needs a notification.
  • A class, appointment, or personal task that should stay visible in your planner.
  • A follow-up item from a meeting note or project dashboard.

Create a reminder

  1. Create or edit a Label Sticker.
  2. Enable Notify in the sticker editor.
  3. Choose a future date and time.
  4. Save the sticker so it appears on the page and schedules the notification.

Important notification details

The reminder time must be in the future when you save it. Notifications also depend on iOS notification settings, so PencilTime needs permission to show banners, sounds, badges, or Notification Center items.

How sync behaves

With Premium iCloud sync, the sticker and reminder details can sync to other devices. Each device schedules its own local notification after it receives the synced sticker, so notification permission and timing still matter on each device.
